Moda Operandi, the first online luxury retailer to give customers complete access to full collections by top-name designers months before they are available anywhere else, launched trunkshows featuring the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of Russia’s emerging talent this past weekend. A La Russe and Ruban launched on December 5, followed by Vilshenko and Alexandr Kondakov on December 6, Alexander Terekhov and Esme Vie on December 7, and Natasha Zinko, Kalmanovich and Masterpeace on December 8.
Indre Rockefeller, General Merchandising Manager & Creative Director of Trunkshows for Moda Operandi, is responsible for scoping out new talent within the industry. She discovered the aforementioned designers while at Moscow Fashion Week in Novemeber. Rockefeller had this to say about her trip – “What struck me was the appetite for innovation and discovery among fashion designers.
At the same time, there is a reverence for the rich cultural history of the country. I think that the fusion of the two is really exciting.” Each designer has their own distinct, signature looks with various colors, materials, and garments incorporated into each collection. They are all available for a minimum of two weeks from the day of launch at http://www.modaoperandi.com. With these trunkshows, the designers have the ability to reach new consumers all over the world and make their brand known.
