Girl Meets Dress.com, the e-commerce luxury rental site, has announced an undisclosed round of financing from Global Founders Capital, the new $200 million fund from Rocket Internet’s Samwer brothers and former Delivery Hero co-CEO Fabian Siegel.
Launched in March 2013, Global Founders Capital, founded by Fabian Siegel and Oliver and Marc Samwer has chosen Girl Meets Dress as one of its first investments. In total, Global Founders Capital, the fund “by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs” has invested more than $5 million into three different companies:
- Girl Meets Dress.com (Provides luxury rentals)
- Videodressing.com (French social fashion marketplace)
- Lingoda.com (A live language learning startup)
This investment will enable Girl Meets Dress .com to accelerate its growth by expanding its marketing efforts and editorial elements, enhancing the customer experience, bringing new talent on board and expanding its market leading position in the UK.
